Project Lead The Way

I am certified to teach Project Lead The Way, Computer Science Essentials. In this project based class environment, students will work collaboratively to solve real world problems by programming solutions.

Introduction to Programming

In this course, students learn how to program in Python. We focus on developing algorithms and thinking computationally to solve programming challenges. We also explore careers in computer science.

Welcome to Mr. Clifford's class. I was born and raised in Brockton. I graduated from Brockton High in 2012. I went to the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and was in the Isenberg School of Management. I graduated with a degree in Finance and a minor in Information Technology. Aside from teaching, I am the Web Content Manager for Brockton Public Schools and the Boy's Lacrosse Coach. I also started an after school coding class for 3rd graders at the Gilmore Elementary School.

While I was at UMass, I would come home during school vacation weeks and work as a substitute teacher. After I graduated, I started working in the school's full time.

I started programming on my own in college. I never really had the opportunity to take programming classes in High School so I am excited to offer my students time and space to learn this vital 21st century skill.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

Do not be embarrassed by your failures, learn from them and start again.

Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.
